President Donald Trump has vetoed a measure from Congress revoking his declaration of a countrywide emergency on the US-Mexico border.
Lawmakers, together with 12 Republicans, had handed the rejection solution on Thursday in a stunning rebuke of Mr Trump’s pledge to construct a border wall.
Congress will now want a two-thirds majority in each chambers to override him, which is not going to occur.
That is the primary veto of Mr Trump’s presidency.
“As president, the safety of the country is my best responsibility,” Mr Trump mentioned on Friday.
