Carlos Ghosn: Ex-Nissan chair faces two new charges

Prosecutors in Japan have indicted former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn with two recent prices.

Mr Ghosn, who has been detained since November, was charged with aggravated breach of belief and understating his earnings.

He had already been indicted on a separate cost of underreporting his pay over 5 years.

Mr Ghosn, whose detention has drawn some criticism, denies all wrongdoing.

His attorneys mentioned they might apply for bail, however specialists say this request could be very unlikely to be granted.

The brand new prices will seemingly preserve Mr Ghosn in jail till his first trial, in line with his attorneys.

One of many prices includes allegations that Mr Ghosn quickly shifted heavy private funding losses on international change dealings to Nissan.

The 64-year-old was the architect of the Renault-Nissan alliance, and introduced Mitsubishi on board in 2016.

Renault, which saved him on as chairman after his arrest, has mentioned it has not but discovered any proof of wrongdoing by their former boss.

What has he been charged with?

Mr Ghosn was first charged last year with underreporting his pay package deal for the 5 years to 2015.

On Friday, a recent cost claimed he understated his compensation for an additional three years.
